BRISTLECONE VAULT PRIVACY POLICY

This policy explains, in plain terms, what data Bristlecone Vault LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles when you use bristleconevault.com and related services (the "Platform"). The numbered sections below (1–8) cover collection, use, sharing, security, your rights, retention, children, international transfers, and contact details.
1. Information We Collect
We collect various types of information from and about users of our Platform:
(a) Information You Provide to Us. This includes information you provide when you create an account, such as your name, email address, postal address, phone number, and payment information. It also includes information you provide when you communicate with us or participate in interactive features of our Platform.
(b) Transaction Information. We collect details about your transactions on the Platform, including the Tokens you purchase or sell, the prices, and the dates of transactions. This information is recorded on the public blockchain (currently Polygon).
(c) Physical Item Information. If you are a Manufacturer, we collect information related to the Physical Items you tokenize, including descriptions, images, and custody details (whether held by a Certified Vault Partner or in self-custody).
(d) Automatically Collected Information. When you access and use the Platform, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and how you interact with the Platform. This information is collected through cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our Cookie Policy for more details).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for various purposes, including: (a) to provide, maintain, and improve our Platform and services; (b) to process your transactions and facilitate the Vaulting and Redemption of Tokens; (c) to communicate with you, including sending you transaction confirmations, updates, security alerts, and support messages; (d) to personalize your experience on the Platform; (e) to monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Platform; (f) to detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities, and to protect the rights and property of Bristlecone Vault and others; and (g) to comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share your personal information with third parties in the following circumstances:
(a) With Service Providers. We may share your information with third-party vendors, consultants, and other service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, data analysis, hosting, customer service, and marketing assistance. This includes sharing necessary information with Certified Vault Partners for the storage and physical delivery of Physical Items.
(b) With Manufacturers and Collectors. Information related to transactions (e.g., Token IDs, transaction history) is publicly visible on the public blockchain (currently Polygon). Certain information, such as your Trader Handle, may be publicly associated with your activity on the Platform.
(c) For Legal Compliance and Protection. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend the rights or property of Bristlecone Vault, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Platform or the public, or (iv) protect against legal liability.
(d) In Connection with Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
(e) With Your Consent. We may share your information with your consent or at your direction.
4. Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the security of our systems 100%.
5. Your Choices and Rights
(a) Account Information. You may update or correct your account information at any time by logging into your account settings.
(b) Cookies. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings and our Cookie Policy.
(c) Marketing Communications. You can opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by following the instructions in those emails. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations.
(d) Access, Correction, Deletion, and Do-Not-Sell. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to opt out of certain sharing. To exercise any of these rights, submit our privacy request form and we will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.
6. Third-Party Websites
Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of other websites, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.
7. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by revising the effective date at the top of this policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our homepage or sending you a notification).
